Americas Best Value Inn Charlotte, MI

A bit overpriced, but is the final hotel for a few miles aside from the Holiday Inn. I paid $180 to stay for less than 15 hours. I paid more due to having my senior cat traveling with me. Those paying in cash have to provide an additional $100 cash deposit. Which can be returned at checkout if the room isn't destroyed. There was a fridge and a TV in the room. The bathroom had a working shower and bath. The room itself was clean and tidy. However, the rest of it seemed outdated and in major need of renovation.

Check in was easy and quick. Don't let the outside and the halls fool you on this one. You can tell that some effort has been put in on updating the rooms. Bed was comfortable, good hot water and shower pressure, linens were clean. The breakfast offered was small but the eating area was clean and tidy. 2 kinds of cereal, packet oatmeal, 3 kinds of juice, bread assortment and a waffle machine. The only two drawbacks are this: a few touch ups in the bathrooms and you'll be set for the rooms. There's significant hard water stains in the toilet, the cove base is coming off the walls and water drips from the on/ off handle. The other is that at first I thought it was odd that people were like sorting newspapers out or something in front of the hotel. But when I came out for breakfast the next morning, these people were here hanging around the front desk so I have to assume they're family or something to the owner/ manager. All in all, good value for the price paid.

The Manager and two men working at the front desk are awesome very cool and friendly. Stayed four nights very clean and they had room service and breakfast. Would definitely stay again .

I did not stay at this property, but my car broke down in their parking lot. I found the staff extremely kind and friendly while I was on site. I appreciated their kindness and willingness to help.

Place was extremely clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom all worked as it should. Great place to stay. Fresh coffee 24 hrs in the lobby.

We have stayed here numerous times in the last couple of months due to personal reasons, the hospitality alone is worth returning every time. The staff always greets us with a smile, and knows us by name. The rooms are very nice and updated, and are consistently clean. The location of the hotel is central and within walking distance to most places. Breakfast bar is always good. If you’re looking for consistency and a nice place to stay at a great price with friendly people look no further…I would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Amazing customer service. I stayed here from out of state and left behind my little stuffed animal (my sleeping buddy for when my partner is away on work trips)- something that could seem trivial to a hotel. I realized once I got home that night and sent an email. By the next morning, they had emailed me back with pictures to show he was safe, and had called to give me instructions on how to get him back. He is home safe and sound and I am very impressed with how attentive and efficient they were! Thank you staff!!!
